Hey there, I'm Jelke (pronounced YELL-kuh), and I'm an illustrator based in Mierlo, the Netherlands, represented by the Literary Longs at Tugeau2 art and literary agency. Over the years, my creative journey has taken me through various paths, from exploring the world of animation and ceramics to trying my hand at different art forms. But among them all, drawing has always held a special place in my heart.

My true passion lies in bringing to life stories with illustrations inspired by magic, horror, and fairy tales.

When I'm not immersed in the creative process, you'll often find me out and about with my two wonderful children and my partner. We love spending quality time together, playing board and card games, attending festivals and concerts, and bonding over delicious meals I cook with love.

As much as I cherish family moments, I find solace in rearranging my living space, adding that perfect touch of magic to my surroundings. Oh, and did I mention my love for horror movies? I can't resist watching every spooky film ever made!

With my ipad always at my side, I'm constantly seeking inspiration from the world around me. Each illustration I create is a portal into a world of wonders, where dreams and nightmares coexist in harmony.
